Hmm, seems to be working all normal for me aswell. Are you referring to a specific link that’s not working? The one I posted here seems to be ok :o
Edit: It seems like Google changed something about the way you share custom maps. This link should work 
Final edit: All links to the map in this thread should now be working again

Incredibly late to the party, but saw this on JP’s Discord, based on the map it looks like im the first person to report in from Phoenix, Arizona! was cool to see a few people from my home state of Utah though!
