you’re doing god’s work my dude
Why don’t you add Adam rolls?
I thought about it, but Adam does only a few open skill rolls every week, if any at all. So I decided to rather focus on the players.
I might add his rolls to the stats, but I think I won’t include them in the average-graph
So was that actually a “you need to beat up your fellow job candidates before you enter the ship” test or did Jaycen beat up his co-pilots?
Maybe he beat up the person with the legal papers.
Nomi is quickly becoming my favorite character. Anne is doing a great job being a foil to Booker. It creates some great tension.
@AnneMunition Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed Nomi this session. I think her interactions with Yancy and Booker gave you a chance to really highlight and convey her personality tonight. Out of curiosity, how long was it before you fully fleshed out out Nomi as a character and how to pull her off? In terms of confidence, I mean.
Also, and on a different note, I really loved the fanimation at the end of the show. One tiny nitpick/feedback I have is with the cast order. It would really add to the classic “TV show” vibe it’s going for if Adam was moved to after the four main players; sort of in the “And featuring…” position (e.g. “And Adam Koebel as The Space Master”) much like how they used to have on opening credits back in the day. How difficult would a change like that be to do and is it too late? Aside from that, the thing was really, really good.
8, huh? Some has to die for a partial. Flipping a coin to see who dies Adam?
it makes me happy to know how well people understand my GMing style
Hmm… isn’t death the most boring way to handle failure/complications? I’m sure there are far more entertaining ways for things to “succeed”… partially.
To a PC, death is boring. To a Red shirt? Nah.
That was a one person cockpit! No way that was my co-pilot!
Wow… being a player character is really stressful! You have to make this horrible decisions on the fly. Is this what being a player-peasant is like? Give me my DM screen and chair back!
I think this episode and last episode were the two that I really started to feel confident about Nomi as an extension of myself - meaning that I felt I could easily slip into her thought processes and how she would address certain things. Before that, I felt less confident in how Nomi would feel or act. I’m glad you enjoyed it, I did too!

It was definitely a competition job. See who was tough enough to get the job.

I really liked Nomi’s scenes today. She’s rad and I can see you wanting her to be more than just like, the stereotypical vizier-type.
@AnneMunition Thanks so much for the reply. Glad to hear the character is gelling with you. I think she’s a nice and much needed contrast to the others in that she seems much more utilitarian and pragmatic. Looking forward to see you tackle what this means for her as a person. As well as all her Machiavellian schemes that Booker doesn’t “need” to know about. For the sake of the mission, of course.
All hail the Lady Qa’a, Queen of the Serpens!
