This one was very fun to watch. This might be the one episode that I will watch again.

Adam, was the Gm God guy improvised? Or did you already have him in mind?

completely improvised and inspired by a conversation i had during office hours this morning…

I think the dm god was inspired by the discussion on should a GM cheat

I think I’m gonna make some suggestions to Max during the post show, actually!

I see, thanks

That is awesome

Yes. Yes. YES! So good. Great ending, and letting Max have fun with it was also awesome.

I’m getting really curious about how Berg might become… revamped? reskinned? respec’ed? I could almost like envision a mini Adam/Max stream going over options and stuff. I saw chat going wild with theories which is great.

Will/Can Berg respec “now” while in Heaven? And/or will that be later? Though I guess a lot of this depends on Max’s interest…

You think berg could get some int points for 9 months studing every day? Max can use some more eloquent characters. Or at least less oblivious

Loved to see @AdamKoebel thinking “Hmmm, what did I tell people to NOT do on Office Hours? This god is doing it!” XD

Also can’t wait to see Fei taking over the place of “Older Brother” instead of letting Little Brother do it, just to make the guy more pissed at life XD

All hail divine flametongue hammer Berg! \o/
(And hoping Max gets to roll new stats for a new body he might get if Berg comes back to life)

Fockin amazing episode. Also enjoyed the "ignore the rules DM"god at the end lol. It has so much more context after reading Adam’s tweets.

@AdamKoebel Once again, maybe I’m reading too much into things, but that last battle the same day as Office Hours and Twitter discussions about “fudging” rolls…

Regardless, that was an epic episode, and I’m really loving the possibilities of where things stand right now.

you’re reading the exact amount into it.

This is where I come in and speak about Berg for a few paragraphs and how it connects to the greater whole. No. I don’t…

Berg has instead succeeded. He has moved on. He let go of the remaining shackles that bind him to his past. By being in Heaven for so long, training and learning, he has found purpose. Whether he succeeds or fail in his purpose does not matter, just as long as he strides towards it his life will be improved when he eventually reincarnates.

This is the first partial ending I would say exists in Court of Swords. A character who has suffered, under the shadow of the Tower, and made it past. This is the first character who made it past possibly one of the hardest parts of the Wheel. But this is only a singular perspective, one ending of the whole that can be achieved in CoS.

We have witnessed an ending to Berg and also a rebirth. I am happy that it finally happened but I need more. My yearning for knowledge and understanding of the endings of CoS is equal to my love for the characters and the plot of the show. I yearn to witness the eventual moment when Ramus obtains his soul and reunites, if such a thing ever happens.

Alongside Ramus is the countless moments in the past where you, Adam Koebel, has led us, the audience, into misconceptions or lies, and we believed them. When we all fawned over the fact that Kalimat did it with the Orc tribe leader, we ranted and talked and questioned everything about us, and you only dug us deeper. When you revealed the golden beetle to everyone and that it’s purpose has been fulfilled, I can only stare in shock as even I was sufficiently duped. This just continues to prove that you can manage to trick anyone with things the while audience can’t even imagine.

These pasts few episodes has been full of Heaven. Show us Adam, show us even more to take in. What else is there to reveal in the Bureaucracy? What other secrets remain kept? You may continue to tease us Adam, as you are so far the only one who could do it so well.

Oh wait… I did just write a few paragraphs. Damn you Adam! You fooled me again!

The only thing missing from the cheating DM fight was the Displacer Beast gaining resistance to spirit guardians after Ramus casts the spell because that spell is “stupid and too strong” and the beasts making attacks out of turn because “I said they can do that”.
