TTRPGs and Twitch

Hello everyone. Many of us flocked to JP as a result of his TTRPG show RollPlay. Some were already pencil and paper players, but a lot of us were drawn into a new form of entertainment on Twitch and YouTube.

I want to create a thread where people can talk about their experiences of watching and participating in TTRPGs at home and on Twitch. Hopefully this will become a commonwealth of ideas about where RollPlay and the overall community goes from here, how it will continue to grow, what TTRPGs may turn into on Twitch, creative formatting ideas, etc.

A few of my self imposed rules:

  • Do not advertise your own TTRPG streams
  • Try to keep posts centered around the online TTRPG community
  • No asking where Geoff is

Have fun!

My introduction to TTRPG was a Swedish game called MUTANT (from the 80s). It’s post-apocalyptic/cyberpunk and I loved every second of it. Mostly I loved creating characters and I still from time to time open up one of the boxes and create character just for fun.

Today I own a bunch of duplicates, and more books from that universe, that I buy in auctions just to keep as a collection.

We didn’t really have any idea how to play it at that age but we did.
