in the biz we call this “narrative whiplash”

This episode had one of the purest and most perfect examples of turning a single mechanical event (Kalimat’s exceptional roll) into a narrative thrust that has implications for every character. What an absolute torturous quagmire of conflicting loyalties, ethical clashes and personal crises this arc has become - I don’t think CoS has ever been better.
Another great episode.
Because they talk about the dnd turn based style vs the actual narrative in the post show it’s important to remember a turn last 6 seconds but the handbook also states a round lasts about 6 seconds. Everything in a round happens almost simultaneously.
Thank you so much. Sometimes I have like, plans in place for an episode and sometimes things just happen
Soon all Kalimat will need is a pale horse and the transformation will be complete.
Who knows maybe after this decent and learning experience for his character, Kalimat will rise again to be the beacon of hope in the party?
I don’t know I feel like Adam will be taking him over as an NPC when it gets too far or Shadrik will kill him.
Holy character development! Wow.
What a great episode!
Well, it’s good to see that the players still does the work of The Tower, despite claiming no allegiances to it after the City of Brass. Like sure, awaken the primordials and the dragons if you like, but all you do is bringing divine destruction to all things that has stood for too long.
When the Dragonborn comes around. Doesn’t have the same ring to it, Also now I want to go and rewatch the last few episodes of swan song.
