Heavy lore dumps this episode. Super excited for next week.
What a great episode. God I love when I get to catch it live!
Interesting fact…I just counted and if CoS ran every week without a break from now on, episode 100 would be on Christmas day.
Is there a more specific info dump on the roles the queen, king, page and knight play in leading communities, or is that not something you really discuss in the forum. Curious if they play different parts or if it is more sort of general (like a representative or council).

A super cool analysis of the XP arc for the system we use.
An attempt to pretend you’re a cat goes unsuccessful.
Those GM hacks
The roles of King, Queen, Page and Knight are prescriptive like alignment but in reality vary depending on the system of government. Sometimes it’s like the dalai lama - predetermined and discovered by oracles, other times they’re purely titles. They’re meant to indicate various governmental or leadership tasks but also vary by culture. Their meaning falls generally in line with the Tarot of the same names.
Hard to beat a +8 when he had a 0 skill for the roll.
Thanks, I was wondering if they followed the Tarot or were all sort of the same. Sort of a bit more interesting to have the variation. The culture set up in this world is really interesting along with the XP system. Really creative and makes it seemed quite detailed and immersive.
Thanks! I’ve put what feels like a ton of time into it, i’m glad people are enjoying it!
Yeah, but Adam, what was the wink about?
I really like this side arc formula and hope a similar method continues after these two sub arcs. It at least appears to allow the players playing the “side” characters to play their characters more true to their goals even if it gets them killed.
