Blizzcon is coming up and i was hoping to get to talk to some people about it.

What do you guys think will be announced at blizzcon and what do you want to be announced?
Also what panel are you guys looking forward to?

For Overwatch i hope they announce more than just sombra and new map/brawl.
Any WoW news is also exciting to me, i don’t know much the panels since i do not have a digital ticket but ill hopefully will be watching them on youtube after they have been.

I am also looking forward to see Towelliee streaming from Blizzcon where he (hopefully) gets to interview someone that works with WoW

I’m looking forward to the WCS Global playsoffs and finals :smiley: StarCraft his the reason why I started to work with JP and I still have respect for that game and players. I have no clue who’s playing but it’s going to be fun nonetheless!

I completely forgot about Esports at Blizzcon. i am looking forward to the overwatch tournament though and also to the special Hearthstone thing even though i don’t know exactly what it is

I’m excited for any and all news type stuff coming out this year but I don’t expect much. Overall there have been a few releases of games that there’s not a huge amount to talk about. I want to see the opening ceremony for sure though and see how it goes without metzen, I remember being there after cata released and just enjoyed the whole thing. I still feel like it may be a little bit low profile this year unless they have surprises with Diablo and Overwatch.

Also the SC tournament is always worth watching. I’m trapped by it every year, plus all the diehard commentators- I can’t wait.

The dream that will probably not happen - Blizz announce a game in another genre/new IP or Warcraft 4.
It would be fun if they announce Diablo 4.

I don’t see this coming true this year but I’ve been hearing a lot of rumors about World of Warcraft going free to play.

But more realistic expectations for me are seeing a trailer for the 7.2 patch and maybe the subscription numbers for WoW if Blizzard is feeling cocky.

From what i have been watching and playing, HS really needs a spike of go-juice. The next rotation of standard will change a lot of things but the next expansion really needs to hit a high note after Karazhan. D3 is entering a new state where the new season is not complimented with a really large batch of other things on top of the ladder reset as it will be only the reset. I really don’t think it will get that much of a new spike as it’s pretty old game already and it has had so much reworking done to it trough the years.

What i expect (and some of this is pretty clear):

Overwatch: Sombra and maybe a new map. Breakthrough how the new season has been going.

Diablo: Something that has to do something with Necromancers. Not a large scale expansion but paid DLC characters? Necromancer first and then they will bring some of the other old characters from D2. Paid storage space.

Hearthstone: New expansion. Explanation on how the next standard rotation will work out.

Warcraft: Hype about the coming raids? WoW is pretty much still running with oiled gears from Legion launch so i can’t see them having anything too big.

Starcraft: Maybe a new Nova pack or re-hype of the coop system. Maybe a look in to the future of the e-sports scene as things have been happening in Korea.

HotS: Overwatch themed maps? Brawl hype? I haven’t been following HotS for some time.

My wild guess is that they will announce Diablo game that is in the style of DS. DS3 being the “last of its kind” the time seems to be pretty ok to move on that market. First look streams 1 or 2 weeks after DS3 DLC to ride on the hype? :itmejpexcite:

Judging by their last few games, if they continue the same pattern, they would move in a new direction and use their blizzard weight to gain the majority market. I’m thinking Hearthstone into the TCG scene, Heroes of the Storm into the MOBA scene, Overwatch into the FPS-TF2-like. Admittedly not all of these were a success (Heroes) but that seems like what they tried to do.

Now I don’t follow closely what games are coming out but so I’m not going to try to guess where they are going with it. But I think this is the direction they are going.

I love the idea of them making Diablo 1 in Diablo 3, but I hope they update the graphics and controls some. It will be cool to have all the new classes, but there’s a mod to play three additional classes in Diablo 1 already the Barbarian, Necromancer, and Assassin. Or are they grabbing most of that mod for this remake? Can’t wait until next week to see what it is like :itmejpsoon:
