Strange tales of heaven and earth.

I remember you saying putting souls into non living beings was either taboo or frowned upon that being said do the celestial lions have souls?

Just wondering Ezekiel mentioned time travel to save mod is that a thing that is possible and if it is how far back could he go could he go back and stop himself from freeing the farang prisoner?

I don’t think time travel is possible. Unless there exists a power much greater than the Fountain, existing outside of it with much greater force and will over ALL of existence, i dont see any way to revert time in this settings.

I’m glad that Berg went for the kill instead of taking the deal. I feel like not only was it true to Berg, it showed that he had hope that he could even defeat the god of luck. Very Star!

Rip Berg’s arm btw. Even though I’m torn that Berg did not choose good luck on his side, I feel like it made sense for him to do the only thing he’s good at.

They have souls, yeah. They’re just like, gods of protecting the gates of heaven.

There isn’t any time travel in this setting. The Wheel only turns one way.

Adam can you tell us what would’ve happened if Max rolled a 20? What about a 1?

Also why can’t there just be like one god for good AND bad luck. Big brother seems like a greedy little poopoo head, but little brother seems overly jealous. Like wtf, just get along. You’re brothers for godsake.

Yaaaaaaah, great episode!!!

Was really cool to see the Berg / Diety face off, and like… Berg questioning things further. I’m still hoping to see if/when you and Gassy might modify this “new” Berg around. Not sure if anything came of that from previous talks.

The stuff with Kali is always great, The allusions of The Nameless one being “he should be fine while I’m alive” was great! Wondering how that might work out as well!

Twisting the knife on Zeke w/ Maud at the end was :ok_hand:

I guess my one question is, you mentioned a bit of like “time re-alignment” because Berg spent months+ in Heave training w/ Fey and what not, and (ostensibly) its only been days for those that went in the Vault? So seeing him land now raises some continuity issues of Time in Heaven (Though I guess its like that dead realm from the new God of War where its like way fast there?)

Thanks for the awesome show!!

Fuck I need to listen to what the God of Luck said again. Dan seemed to have solved the riddle and I think I know what the answer is but I didn’t catch it myself.

The Bureaucracies of Heaven are full of petty jealousies for suuuuure. If Max had rolled a 20, he’d have killed the God of Good Luck and ended his reign because you can’t be the god of good luck if someone else beats you on a lucky chance, right? So the assassination would have gone as planned.

it has definitely been a lot longer than that.

Adam, why do you hate gnomes? Gnomes are good people.

Another great episode. Adam, JP, Dan, Zeke and Max you all do a fantastic job every time.

RIP Parvat, but I want to know more about his history, there was certainly more going on there than we know; why else would his corpse end up hissing at Yoji, something to do with the Nightserpant and the Snake Cult. Hope we learn more as Kali uses the dagger.

My heart sank at Kali failing his death saves and then was elated when Nameless just simply clapped his hands and brought back. I have a feeling though that Kali could fade away or just drop dead once Nameless is sacrificed to kill the Immortals, Nameless’ said he can keep things from Death just like he’s keeping his siblings from Death, but now Kali could be falling under that same holding back and I fear for Kali’s life.

Salty about Berg not taking the deal, but fair play to Max for leaving it up to the rolls of the dice to see what happened with those 3 tries, just sucks that he’s now returning (someway, somehow, perhaps in a new form or to his old body), but still with the eternal attention of Little Brother. Berg better like lemonade cos there’s much more bitter fruit in his future thanks to nothing but Bad Luck from Little Brother.

Seems like Berg might be turning up at his own funeral, either his one armed corpse is going to sit up or Berg’s going to return in a new body and be staring down at his old one.

Nice of the Red Hand to recover Berg’s body and ‘rescue’(?), ‘take in’(?) Maud, really want to know what the hell is going on with her, if they though she was a feral child before think she definitely is now.

The implications of what you just said can be taken to a whole other level. Tie that all in with the coin flip near the end and that’s a 12 thesis on the lore, background, and overall situation in Heaven. I guess if the God of Luck is supposed to be lucky, than The Wheel must run on dice. Three chances for a nat 20 would only be a 15% of obtaining it, therefore the luck would be in the God of Lucks favor (I keep forgetting his name im sorry). While there definitely is a chance for Berg to win, it would of been an Outlier in the formula that is the Wheel. That is what Berg was in Heaven, an outlier to hopefully topple the average. While a feeble attempt, the fact that it came to the table is worth something.

so is little brother just going to abandon berg or keep giving him bad luck ? also is berg going to keep his new body or lose it

Yo imagine if Agni did what she did to bergs arm but now to bergs WHOLE BODY. She’s a blacksmith right? And bergs just a walking piece of metal with a soul? What if Agni forges Berg “himself” into something?

My curiosity is off the roof and cannot be stopped.
